Six Flags, the giant theme park chain, launches a new Facebook advergame called Mascot Park. It starts off simple enough. Customize a mascot and then, well, that’s where everything falls apart.

Starting today, you’ll be able to put your seasonal goodies and whatever else into storage on your virtual farm. When you log into the game, you’ll see a tiny red barn icon on the left hand side of your screen. Click it and you’ll be immediately taken to see the new storage options

As social game maker Zynga explores new frontiers , we are also hearing more rumors that the company responsible for mega-Facebook hit FarmVille, is hard at work on a frontier-themed game. This isn’t exactly a surprise, however.

As an avid social gamer, I always feel a twinge of guilt when I find a stash of machetes in Mafia Wars or a Lost Kitten in FarmVille and decide to post that information to my Facebook page. I know that while I’m helping my fellow FarmVillians out, I’m also royally pissing off my friends who choose to abstain from these games. Bejeweled Blitz has blasted it’s way to being named Best Facebook Game by IGN.com ’s Best of 2009 lists. Bejeweled Blitz is a personal favorite of mine for reasons outlined by IGN. I find the 60 second game play to be perfect and so addictive that I have never played just once.

Zynga shuts down My Heroes Ability game on Facebook

While Zynga’s My Heroes Ability might not have captured the headlines like the companies other games including FarmVille or Cafe World, those playing the game on Facebook woke up to discover that the game had been replaced by a simple message, “Zynga has discontinued this game. We will be focusing our efforts on a new line of exciting applications.” Created in 2007, the game granted each player an Ability in Mind, Mater and Physical categories along with two actions.
