The Valentine’s Day-themed items keep rolling out in Pet Society , but we couldn’t help but fall in love with this adorable “Help for Haiti” Plushie. The huggable brown bear with dreadlocks and a heart bandage can be found in the the Furniture store and bought for 10 Playfish Cash, roughly the equivalent of $2. Every cent spent on these virtual bears will go to helping disaster relief in Haiti through Mercy Corps.

Zynga, the developers of FarmVille and Mafia Wars, has already raised over $900,000 dollars with the help of FarmVille players for the earthquake victims of Haiti. Great work FarmVille Freaks!!! FarmVille made a special announcement to FarmVille players on Monday night, 01.18.10: “Wow! We’re humbled by your generosity. Y’all have contributed over $900,000 to the Zynga Haiti Relief Fund! If we can exceed $1 million in donations before 11:59 pm PT Tuesday, we’ll give all Farmers a surprise! Farmville’s "Sweet Seeds for Haiti" brings in $110K

Virtual goods are doing some real good for victims of January’s devastating earthquake in Haiti, as Zynga has announced that the latest incarnation of their Sweet Seeds for Haiti donation program has already brought in over $110,000 for school construction in the country. Zynga reports that 45,000 Farmville players have bought the limited edition Sweet Yam seeds in this new drive, which launched on May 4.

Some FarmVille Freaks have seen this new loading screen appear. Looks like FarmVille is going to keep pushing the Sweet Seeds for Haiti. Like many FarmVille Freaks, I would like to see Zynga branch out and donate to other organizations!
