Mafia Wars: Bangkok officially launches

It’s official — Mafia Wars: Bangkok has officially launched for everyone! Players level 18 and up can access this new area of the game for new missions, new weapons and new boss battles. Oh yeah, and you’ll have to decide where your loyalties live — with the in-your-face Yakuza or the hard-to-touch Triads. Mafia Wars Bangkok "more accessible" to newbies

A note on the Mafia Wars Facebook page gives some more details about the new expansion, including the fact that the game will be “more accessible” to newer players. Players levels 18 to 200 will use a sliding scale for the amount of energy required to complete missions and the payouts for those missions as well. That means, if you’re at a lower level, it will take less energy to complete missions, and that also means the cash earned from those missions will be smaller (boo).

Mafia Wars Bangkok requires special loot items to play

While we patiently await the arrival of Mafia Wars Bangkok to open to the public, we learned that we can get a head start on finding the loot items (all marked by an elephant icon) required to unlock the new expansion. The Bangkok loot items listed are as follows (see pics of each below): – Triad Coin (Located in the NYC Soldier Tier) – Yakuza Sake (Located in the NYC Hitman Tier) – Thai Note (Located in the NYC Enforcer Tier) – Thai Passport (Available on launch date) Have you already started finding the special Bangkok loot?
